Accounts, invoicing & vat

Yes, each item sold will be shown on your statement of account.

VAT and buyer premium are usually added to the hammer or the Buy Now price (unless VAT is not applicable). VAT is also applied to the buyer premium and delivery charges (if applicable).

If you are VAT registered and the purchase qualifies under VAT recovery rules, you may be able to reclaim VAT.

Yes, bulk and repeat buyer discounts may be available at the discretion of John Pye Trade for Buy Now items. For more information or to enquire about potential discounts, please contact us directly.

DELIVERY, COLLECTION & CONFIDENTIALITY

No. To ensure confidentiality, John Pye organises delivery using its haulier directly from your location.

No. We manage all logistics to support buyer-seller confidentiality and ensure a seamless process.

No. At present, we only sell goods to and from mainland UK locations.

MANIFESTS & BUYER INCENTIVES

Provide the manifest with a clear note that it is indicative only, and highlight any known uncertainties. Where possible, correct key details (quantities, models, condition notes) before listing.

SELLING PROCESS & LISTING MANAGEMENT

Yes, each item sold will be shown on your statement of account.

If selling offsite, you must provide all necessary information required under the vendor agreement. As the seller, you warrant that the details provided are accurate and match the listing.

Yes, if an item is being sold in a Buy Now sale. Please contact your dedicated account manager to make any changes, for example, updated quantities or changes to the images used.

There is no set time limit, but we usually list items in a Buy Now sale for up to three weeks before considering further options, including moving them to sale in an auction.

No. Goods can be listed on the Trade platform at a fixed ‘Buy Now’ price. If the goods don’t sell, we may suggest price changes or moving them to auction, most likely with no reserve.

Please inform John Pye if you are selling the goods through another channel so the correct process can be followed and the listing can be amended/removed if required.

If your listing receives little or no interest, your account manager will agree with you the appropriate action to take to try to improve its visibility—this may include price adjustments, enhanced descriptions of the goods, or promotional support.

MARKETING & EXPOSURE

Yes. Marketing may include targeted email campaigns and promotional placement on the platform, depending on suitability and available opportunities.
